alberta_pizzolato 21 Posted December 10, 2007 This image should speak volumes. It has all the ingredients to deeply impact the viewer and yet it doesn't - at least not me. Is it just me? Could be. Or maybe it's too predictable. All the ducks are in a row, so to speak. There's no intrigue. I might have tried a different POV - off to the side and from down under - to create some architectural mystery. As it is, I feel like I'm looking at an Erector Set creation. It's complicated but just not very interesting. I would never want to hurt anyone's feelings and I'm certainly not the Guru of photography. But you asked for critique so I gave one. Please accept it in the good spirit in which I send it. Cheers - Link to comment
sumptee 0 Posted December 10, 2007 Gilles, This photo is quite interesting especially coming from a fellow New Yorker, I like the picture but wish perhaps you captured some shadows or light changes. It looks as if you took the picture in mid day, because the light was so bright. Perhaps and late afternoon/Early Evening shot would have showed a little more charater. But I do Like this photo. May have to steal a shot when I pass under the tracks one of these days. Check out my Cityscapes, tell me what you think, rate if you want. I always love to hear what a fellow New Yorker has to say!
