I agree this is a great portrait. I'm not a fan of the background color though - I don't really think it adds to the picture or really makes him (or his gorgeous eyes) pop. I think this picture would look great with a high-contrast, high saturation treatment like a Dave Hill or Joey Lawrence to really bring out his eyes and the texture of his skin and beard.

Like your other commentators, I think this is a super portrait, too. For me, the background colour is OK because it allows his wispy hair and whiskers to stand out while complementing his skin colour. However, I'm sure it would work well with other colour combinations, too. All the best, Margo.

Great model or subject.(Who is he?) Crop out the background maybe? What would it look like if you applied above suggestions? Can you try it and post the results? Just curious, what lens did you use?
