bosshogg 4 Posted December 3, 2007 I thought it was interesting the way the dirt appears as brush strokes of a painting. There has been very little processing on this image. Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted December 3, 2007 Beautiful landscape,David. I like the composition, exposure,DOF and color-contrast.I prefer the alternative caption,'A checkerboard landscape'. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted December 3, 2007 Very kind of you. I debated posting this one, because it is a bit boring. But I really liked the earth tones on the mine, so went with it. I also gave some thought to cropping it into a more panoramic mode and eliminating a large part of the greenery. Thanks again for your kind words. Link to comment
laurent_jaussi 0 Posted December 3, 2007 Colors and clarity are super nice David...I would not crop one bit because the front earth road and part of road provide a foreground that helps create some depth and situate the PoV...but then it's my personal view and more and more I think less is more and following the original intuition that you had in the viewfinder is often the best thing to do....of course not always, this just to add confusion...:-)... jcpopper 0 Posted December 3, 2007 Dave, Good shot! When I viewed it larger, the fine details and patterns really jumped out at me. Regards, Joe Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted December 4, 2007 Laurent & Joe, I thank you both. This is not a very spectacular image, but I thought it was an interesting landscape. Link to comment
