Wonderfull light and strong composition

This great, Mark! Lake Isabella has never looked so good until you started going up there and shooting it! This is really a fabulous composition, simple, but darned effective; and that is some smashing light in those clouds. Lot of depth in this. I always learn so much from each of your images. Thanks Michael, Ivana, Piotr, Jef and Chris for looking in! This was a pretty amazing morning and the best color seemed to be around the fringe of the cloud mass which gave it an exploding appearance. My photos are usually taken during short one hour jaunts from my home in Bakersfield. Since Lake Isabella is close, I will go often and get to know the areas value photographically. I truly wish I had the time and freedom to explore longer journeys away from my abode, but since I can't, I try to make the best of what is near.

I almost skipped right past your photo and I am glad I didn't. This is a really cool photo. Perfect exposure. The rocks in the foreground really give added depth. Very, very nice.

Amazing light and composition. Colors in this tumultuous sky are really impressive!
