s_williams 0 Posted April 12, 2008 Hello again Sonia, This is such an expressive image, filled with emotion. The composition really accentuates the fact that this gargoyle type figure is lurching over the innocent people (his subjects) below. You know, keeping his watchful eye on anything suspicious! The grain of the photo also adds to the austerity and the apparent age of the structure. Gives it a nice, old-world appearance. Nice work! Regards, Stephen PS. I like your new self portrait too. You were hiding all your hair under that red hat! Link to comment
soniam 6 Posted April 14, 2008 Thank you so much for taking the time to anylize this subject so thoroughly. I'm not as sure with B & W as I'd like to be and I think I should experiment with it more. I'm glad you liked the film grain. Another thing I wasn't too sure about. Thanks again Stephen Link to comment
s_williams 0 Posted April 21, 2008 Hi Sonia, After seeing your gargoyle character here, it seemed to me that he needed a friend, being all alone way up there on that building. So, I pulled an image of a stone lion from my files to cheer him up. If you want, you can see who might become his new companion in my gallery under Recent Photos. I hope that he (and you) enjoy! We would just need to put them together somehow, if he's interested. Cheers, Stephen Link to comment
