machts gut 155 Posted November 26, 2007 Very straight photo, although excellent, technical speaking. From an aesthetical point it's also excellent. Looks like an old dutch painting. But the girlish look on one side and the slight hint to her breast leaves me ambivalent and uneasy. Link to comment
danbliss 0 Posted November 26, 2007 I also thought of an old dutch painting. My only thought, and what do I know, is that I might have cropped just a little bit off the top. In any case, wonderful pose and image. Dan Link to comment
rana1 0 Posted November 26, 2007 My first impression was that of a Dutch painting too...and would love to see it in colour...An original portrait...intriguing and gripping... Link to comment
rina 0 Posted January 11, 2008 Wonderful expressive portrait. I also would crop from the top. I would try to soften the white (oversharpened ? ) line of the vesture. Link to comment
roylohr 0 Posted February 21, 2008 Among the hundreds of portraits I've seen, this stands out as one of the best. Link to comment
felixphoto 0 Posted April 1, 2008 This is a grat work. I feel as if I stand before one of the Velazquez's portraits. Congratulations. Link to comment
celasun 0 Posted April 25, 2008 Beautiful portrait. I also tend to agree with the cropping suggestion. Link to comment
Paul Lewis1664881697 0 Posted December 22, 2008 Terrific photograph... a little cropping on the top would help, I agree. Her eyes look great. Link to comment
bob_estremera 3 Posted December 22, 2008 I agree with all previous posters. I'd be interested to know the lighting setup and what post-processing you employed. Wonderful style and execution, Bob Link to comment
