BTW, i would appreciate tips on how to focus on the eyes with

self-portrait. I've had quite a few hit-and-miss ;o(.

A very well done & sexy self portrait. Your self shots are very good. As for the eyes, that's tough. You could prefocus on the area where your eyes will be once you place yourself in the frame. Set the aperture at f8. Once in the frame have your eyes in the area of prefocus. The f8 should take care of the rest. Nice work

I love a model with personality and intelligent eyes. Your work is always thoughtful and elegant Tanya, including your self portraits, and this is a reflection of your nature.

 

However you need an interface with the photographer to bring out something more intimate, and you will not really get that special something alone. I like the provocative nature of the pose above, but I do feel it would be more meaningful when directed at someone present. One needs to feel the shall or or shouldn't I, which is missing presently from this image... a harsh critique, but from someone that loves you ..

 

Let Alex take some photos of you and, better still, come and visit and I'll do it ... :-)

Such an intimate light and atmosphere, dang. John is right, it is one thing to photograph a complete stranger, but when friends collaborate, it's an view only a few will ever understand, yet anyone can appreciate.

The more I see this picture, the more I like it, you are not just a great photographer but a beautiful woman. Love that inviting sight. jc

I think i know the camera angels well. It maybe just an...illusion that the model is that...beautiful, but thank you for enjoying the photo ;o).
