The Monviso. Western Alps, Piedmont, Italy.

I've been out photographing almost all day long, and this is the

final gift I received, just back to home.

 

The Monviso is a fascinating mountain, is the tallest peak of the

piedmontise portion of the Western Alps (more than 3800 mts. / 12.500

ft) and it's my preferred one too. I've been there today, right at

the feet of the "rocky king", but this is how it looks from home.

Wonderful colors, top and bottom, and very interesting composition.

Stupenda. Starei interi quarti d'ora a rimirarla. Forse, per i miei personalissimi gusti, vedo i colori un po' troppo "pompati", soprattutto il cielo, ma ti ripeto sono sensibilita' soggettive. I differenti piani delle distanze, con il gigante sullo sfondo, a dominare tutto, creano un senso di profondita', un "respiro" veramente disarmante. Complimenti Paolo!
