Mostek's Mickey

Not really looking for a critique on this one but thought I would submit it anyway. A friend of mine was pointing out early chip humour. It was his Canon 65mm 1-5x Macro that was used to take this image. Thanks Bill!

Having photographed these little buggers and the PCBs they live on years ago for company sales collateral, I can assure you that an example of composition such as this would have made my images better.

George, A very interesting comment. This was a set up just to test out my friend's new lens. It wasn't perfect. My friend is going to start photographng these things to sell. Apparently, early processors are very valuable. Check them out on ebay. This chip is just a simple clock chip. The humour bieng that Mickey is telling the time. 7 O'clock to be precise.

Cherlyn, Your point about the sharpness is noted. I look forward to seeing my friend's photographs when he gets more equipment to lock the camera in place.
