aepelbacher 0 Posted November 23, 2007 Not typical for me.... but I drove by this a bunch of times and it was screaming for me to shoot it. I love the star on the back ... that and the green color makes it look (to me) like army issue. :-) I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving! Link to comment
afs760bf 0 Posted November 26, 2007 Yeah, the star on the back definitely makes it look like army issue. I like the shot. Too bad the sky was so monotone, but that's fall for you. Cheers. Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted November 27, 2007 Of course you knew that you'd attract my attention with such an image. You found this old beast in a beautiful setting but I'd really like to have more open space on both sides of the subject. It feels too boxed in with the tight crop. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted November 27, 2007 It really was boxed in, though. :-) There were buildings on either side. I think that it was a vacant lot that was being leveled for some rason or another. Later today when I boot my external drive, I'll check and see if I have a wider angle of it so that you can see what I'm talking about... Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted November 27, 2007 I understand about being "boxed in" with images such as this one. I have one from Lillian's Boneyard that was surrounded by other junk and I never did get the image of it that I really wanted. Thanks for the explanation about this image. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted November 27, 2007 Interesting juxtaposition Lou Ann, that muddy tractor in a beautiful landscape, I do agree with Shawn that it needed more space on both sides. It is nearly a museum piece....;-)) Link to comment
susan stone 0 Posted November 29, 2007 Wasn't surprised to see Shawn here, this is right up his alley. Boxed in or not I'm glad I can't see the houses 'cause this ol' work horse belongs out in the field like he is. Link to comment
