linelight 0 Posted November 23, 2007 a familiar theme with a pleasantly different touch. The name reinforces the restfulness of the image. As our eyes linger we are drawn to participate in this relationship. thanks. Link to comment

michaelhills 0 Posted December 13, 2007 Thank you, all. I must admit this is one of my favourite hand portraits to date. The hands of the father contrasts so very well with the 'angelic' hands of his child. Father protects and is the one bearing the brunt of life's challenges. Child is protected and 'at home'. lauren_smith 0 Posted January 14, 2009 I really like this shot. The weathered griminess of the father's hands contrast well with (as you said) the angelic purity of the child's hands. It's probably a bit Anne Geddes, but I think that the same shot without the sleeves would be a bit more powerful. Link to comment
michaelhills 0 Posted February 12, 2009 Thank you to you both. :) Lauren, you are spot on regarding the inclusion of the sleeve. I kick myself for not taking care of that in session. But, my excuse was that the child want to run around and it was a case of getting ANY shot over getting nothing at all. :) Photography at times can be an exercise in compromises. :) Link to comment
