georges_walker 96 Posted December 4, 2007 I took care of details under shadows but also the rest of the area, let me know about your comments. Link to comment
lptem 0 Posted December 4, 2007 It's beyond me how anyone would rate this with a 3... very handsome image..lauren partida Link to comment
alessandro.remotti 3 Posted December 5, 2007 I always try to add critiques to low ratings to explain: I think that point of view is too much inclinated giving a distortion impression in prospective. Also, shodows are too strong so dark gray metal particulars of decoration are not focused. I think that if the goal of shot was (also) chromatic contrast in the wall between gray and red, this part should have been more visible. In my personal (and beginner's!) opinion, it is not so easy to understand "what to see" in this image because no aspect is more focused than others. I hope I could express my comments, but, I repeat, I'm not an expert so let's see others opinions ok? Hi! A. Remotti, Turin, Italy Link to comment
georges_walker 96 Posted December 5, 2007 Lauren, Alessandro, Thanks for your feedback. You are right Lauren, I wonder if the 3/3 voters have some knowledge about measuring the exposition before taking the picture, about the goal of keeping detail in both shadow and lighted areas. Alessandro, thanks for your comments, make me think better about defining a subject before shooting, in this way picutres may get better. This image is best viewed if the monitor is well calibrated, only in that way the details at the shadow can be appreciated. Thanks again! Link to comment
