Three appears NOT to be a crowd in this photo which could be from

Thanks.

I felt it; it looked better on my digital screen though, regrettably -- there it looked fabulous.

Thanks for stopping by.

I took about eight captures, to get the eyes just right, moving in close to this woman engrossed in a mobile phone call, and she never even noticed me with two cameras, both with VERY LARGE LENSES.

Truthfully, she never had any idea.

I love those times -- nothing to explain away. Just take the photo and turn around and smile to yourself.

;~)

Another fantastic shot. To me the two women in the background seem to be eavesdropping in the conversation. Perhaps their exchanging glances are a disapproving reaction to what our unsuspecting "victim" is talking about. It would have been better without the glare.

But then it would be more like a painting than a pure 'street' shot.

I prefer to take new photos when I don't make 'em perfect.

I like the 'air' of 'street'.

Sometimes nature (the weather and light) cooperate with me, and sometimes not

Here it is about 4:00 p.m. and at 50 degrees North latitude or so, it's about time to get dark, especially with a light sky (which reflects off such things as the glass on a sidewalk poster).

Adan W., the eyes are the are the thing, and I worked hard to get them right.

In fact, it might be captioned: 'The Eyes Have It'.

(but I have another photo with that caption, so it would be 'The Eyes Have It II')

I'll keep it unphotoshopped until somebody is willing to pay me lots of money for one without the glare -- street is where you find it, and sometimes it includes glare.

No apologies - not this time.

(It did look better on my digital screen; the glare didn't show and I said 'oh wow', and on download I said something else.)

Thanks for a helpful comment, Adan W.

This photo or a sister from the same series has been desaturated, with a little dodging on the eyes, and lots of murkiness shows in the plastic of the glass in front of the poster -- something that at first prevented my deaturating it, as I judged it way too murky and distracting.

But with lighter, brighter eyes, it took on a whole new meaning entirely. I've posted it elsewhere, to rather good critical acclaim. I am not sure if it's precisely the same photo, but from the same series.

I may post this some day, desaturated (or its cousin) on this service. I bet it gets standout marks compared to the rather poor marks this has received.

It pays to review past work, especially when desaturation is in mind, I find, if one is seeking to review posted color street work. Some that works well enough in color is stunning in B&W.
