This is one of the nicest autumn images I've seen and that is all because of the magnificent framing you've done with the foreground shore and the lovely reflection. What makes this even more special is that it appears to me that you have resisted doing any major alterations with photo editing software. I would love to just sit by this lake for hours with someone special.

Hi Shawn! Thank you for leaving such an awesome comment. It is a beautiful spot and if you can imagine, the colours were even nicer in person. You really made my day! Kind regards, Kim.

Very beautiful scenery, lovely colors, great sky ! If you look @the trees` growth direction, you get the impression of a slight tilt, I would rotate a wee bit clockwise

Richard. I love your enthusiasm and your detailed critique. Aren't the reflections great, nice that the water was so still. I couldn't believe my luck when we came upon this scene. Right time, right place. It's nice to hear from such a photographer as yourself! Thank you!

Carsten. Very vice to see you! I appreciate your analytical eye, as always and love it. You made me go back and look into the correcting the tilt. I really didn't see it at first but after correcting just a tad I think it's better. I would love to hear what you think?

Ayse and Pulok. Thanks for dropping by too.

Kim,

I'm glad I came across your name on another PN member's site, and then I went to your gallery. There are so many images that I could leave complimentary comments on, but, I will start with this one. The feelings of peace, quiet and solitude quickly come to mind here. The beautiful colors and elements of nature wonderfully envelop and embrace the viewer, making one feel they are nestled right in the underbrush. Compositionally, the trianglar forms of the sky, trees to the right, water, and trees to the left all meet at single focal point, which, for me at least, gives the impression that the water continues beyond and out of sight. This creates a certain degree of curiousity, which adds to the image's charm.

Best regards,

-Stephen

Thank you Conte and Shuki for sharing your kind thoughts. It's always nice to hear from you.

A.K. Thank you for your extended visit. I appreciate your time and point of view.

Stephen, nice to get to know you. I understand the curiosity aspect you spoke of. I get the same feeling while walking a trail or driving on country roads. I can't wait to see what awaits me around the next curve especially on a day like this one.

Carsten, I'm happy you came back to view my correction. I am always pleased by your visits. I have learned so much from visiting your portfolio. Many thanks to you.

Roger, so nice of you to take the time to comment. Sorry to hear that you miss the change of seasons. Yes, it must be quite the adjustment. However, having said that and after viewing the diversity and beauty of your photography in Oz I don't feel "too" sorry for you. I'm very happy you like my photo.

The richness of the colors and the clear reflections of the trees makes for a delightful photo.

So much has already been said so I will just add that I like the contrast between the right side (brilliant light and reflection) bushes and those on the left. It gives it a certain depth.

Thanks for commenting on some of my images.
