peternientied 0 Posted November 20, 2007 Very nice. This picture invites me to create a story, that it is a shot in a short movie or so. regards Peter Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted November 20, 2007 This has the sense of immediacy and intimacy that are the hallmarks of a great picture. A wonderful shot, in my estimation, that will always contain the spark of life. Link to comment
frank_p 0 Posted November 20, 2007 Thanks a lot guys for your comments. It is nice to hear that this picture has a storytelling quality to it. The camera I used is not a Holga (I take it as a compliment that it renders a Holga look, though, because that is what I was aiming for). Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted November 27, 2007 Lively, playful, and important shot, deftly documenting the rigors and joys of childhood. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 14, 2009 I agree with Carlos. I get the feeling not just that it's a decisive moment but that there's something going on here I want to know about or even be a part of. It has a timeless quality, a little bit like lost youth (which really isn't lost at all). It's a great play between what feels very spontaneous and in the moment and classic, grounded, and revealing composition. There's movement and, significantly there's a lot of gesture, here. All the arms are compelling me into a story of their own. Link to comment
