Romanian Cart Wheel

Outside of Warehouse #1 at Second Chance, Inc. there's an apparently very old Romanian Haywagon. How it got to Baltimore must be an interesting story. Its exposure to the elements makes me worry about its future.

But it surely does make a great photo! You've done a great job of matching up the tones in the colors to emphasize the wheel! Your exposure is spot on!

Dick, thanks for the appreciation but I'm afraid I can't take any credit for the colors & tones: they're pretty much "as is." After straightening and cropping, the post-processing consisted of very light (two notches each) boosting contrast, desaturating and sharpening.

Good shot, I missed this the first time around. I too love to photograph old wooden spoked wheels but I often find it quite challenging to show them in an attractive way. That is why I usually just end up with them in an abstract view that just shows portions of them. I'm guessing that this one was in an area that presented challenges for photographing?

Yep--this was outside the salvage depot, chockablock with old bathtubs.
