Panda Bears, esp the little ones are so cute, cuddly & playful. See the way it stuck its tongue out. I have enjoyed myself very much there, seeing them play , eat & nap :-)

Some information on Panda: They are classified under endangered species & is one of China's national treasure. Bamboo constitute 99% of their diet. For every 100 g bamboo it eats, the Panda gains only 17g nutrients. A wild adult giant Panda eats 12-16 kgs bamboos each day.

Thanks for visit.

Hi Cherlyn. I saw this in the Critique Forum and he really caught my eye. He looks so cuddly and cute sitting up there, but he would probably tear me appart if I got too close! You did a nice job with this; I like the shallow DOF as well as the color. Perhaps you might consider removing the wooden pole along the far left of the frame. I also felt that the highlight on the top of his head was too bright (difficult lighting situation for sure). I made an attempt to try these ideas out in Photoshop using the Clone Tool and Healing Brush. I think I went too far reducing the hotspot but you get the idea. The original is still a nice Panda portrait the way it is. Regards.

The fall color and his lip-smacking tongue make this one of the better panda photos I've seen here. I do agree with the suggestion to remove tree trunk on the left. Is this the Panda Reserve that is an hour or so north of Chengdu? Whatever, nice image!

Thanks Walter. You really did a fine job in correcting the 2 shortcomings. I did thought of removing the pole but my cloning skills is still not as fine-tuned as it must be, so I decide to leave it as it is.

Jim, this is not the research centre near Chengtu. This is the bigger converservation centre at WoLong , more than half day drive from Chengtu.

Great bokeh and good detail. I might suggest a bit more shadow detail. Other than that, no other nits from me. Very nice!

This image is just too cute! I'm not sure that I'll be able to endure seeing your perfect images anymore, I'm starting to get an inferiority complex by looking at your portfolio. 8~)#

Lucky to have been able to see this darling creature. We all know that luck has nothing to do with your excellent photograph. Personally, I like the wooden pole framing the left side of the photo. It puts his leg in perspective instead of just hanging out there. As for any hot spot on the top of the head, I don't find it hot enough to warrant any PS repair. Fantastic photo! Thanks for sharing. Welcome back!
