aepelbacher 0 Posted November 14, 2007 This is probably my favorite shot from that morning of driving around Eden, NY (south of the Buffalo area). It's awfully late for there still to be leaves on the trees ... but we've had a very warm fall season here. It's still somewhat colorful as you can tell. Anyway - I really like the scene because there aren't a lot of evidences of modern things in this shot ... except maybe the power pole. I only wish I had done a better job with the details in the building that were in shadow. Thoughts? Link to comment
LindaM 2 Posted November 15, 2007 this almost looks like the train station in Ponchatoula - wagon and all. as far as the details in the building, have you tried making a duplicate layer of the image and adjusting it for the building and then masking out the background on that layer? Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted November 16, 2007 Hmmmm.... nope, didn't try that. But I just (two days ago) started learning about masks, so I think I know what you're talking about and I think I might actually be able to do it. :-) Let me play around with it..... Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted November 16, 2007 Okay - I still have a lot to learn about masks. Apparently I don't know enough to use one here. :-) Instead, I used a selection of the sky and just went back and forth between that and it's inverse selection (everything but sky). Is this even any better than the originally posted version? Link to comment
