cali 0 Posted November 13, 2007 I really love the atmosphere given by the blurring and by the original composition of the lower part: it is not trivial to take an original photo of a venetian landscape. Personally, I would cut the upper part a bit, not to have a too centered horizon: forget about the clouds, since they seem not to add much to the shot. With such modification, this would be a 6/7 to me. Link to comment
jhl 0 Posted November 13, 2007 Monika, it is a beautiful scene but too blurry, maybe sharpen a bit more. The Black & White is most intriging. Regards Johanna Link to comment
jcpopper 0 Posted November 14, 2007 I love this -- and love the idea of taking it with an old Agfa Click and 120 film. It's like a treasured photo from a turn-of-the-century album(19th-20th, that is). Regards... Link to comment
color 3 Posted November 14, 2007 Andrea is right. It is unusual to see an original image of Venice and this is one. I like it. A suggestion: You might try burning the sky some to get it into the same range of brightnesses as the rest of the picture, or at least fairly close. As it is it's kind of like looking at a beautiful painting with someone shining a bright flashlight in your eyes. Link to comment
alones 2 Posted November 15, 2007 What a lovely point of view on Venice . The " old touch " make the photo unique Link to comment
annie_ferderer 0 Posted January 10, 2008 Monika, this is a very unique and breathtaking photograph of Venice. I like the grain and the darkness... your composition works out well - and makes this photo so personal and original. Cheers! annie Link to comment
