photis santamouris 23 Posted November 12, 2007 Very surreal image of the incoming winter.Great idea of selective focusing on the foreground tree.Glad you're back after connection problems. As lousy weather forces many to stay home,I'm sure we'll have the time to communicate more often.Best regards and thanks for the feedback. mvisionphotography 1 Posted November 14, 2007 I don't know how you take pictures of snow dropping like that but it is truly just gorgeous. Like time standing still! Link to comment
bartimeus1 0 Posted November 14, 2007 Micki: I used 80-200 zoom at 200mm position. The aperture was 2.8, so that made the DoF really shallow. The exposure time was 1/1000 seconds and that froze the movement of the snow. Together the shallow DoF and the fast time made a shallow curtain made by snow flakes and this also helped to isolate the main subject (the branches and the water drops) from the background. afuecker 0 Posted November 27, 2007 Very nice and emotional picture.I would have liked a wee bit more DOF, but that's only my 2 cent.Best regards A. Link to comment
