the group of persons should be out of the blur, would work better. The persons sharp and in focus, and the rest blurry, or so. I have no idea how such effect can be realised, though ;)

Thank you for your opinion;) Your suggestion is quite easy to realize (not for me, regarding this image, anymore though). I have other images (not here) were part of the picture is sharp and the rest blurred. Just make a fully sharp picture and apply the blurry zoom effect with photoshop taking care that your main subject is in the "clear" area of the filter. Another way to realize this is to zoom during exposure by having your camera mounted on a tripod. This is more difficult though and requires lots and lots of exercise and....luck:) You can experiment with a static subject though. Just choose an exposure between 1/8 sec. and 1/30 sec. and make a series with different exposure time. Whilst you press the release button of your camera move your zoom inwards or outwards. The main subject which you wish to be sharp should be in the center of your camera viewer. Just try alot and do not give up until you get the result you like;) Good luck!

This picture I wanted to have completely blurred;):)
