jmcconnell2 0 Posted November 10, 2007 The IS lenses don`t give a sharp image, this would be a great shot if taken from a tripod with IS turned OFF. I have tried a couple of IS lenses, get better results with a tripod. Link to comment
j.t.ecker 0 Posted November 10, 2007 Jim is correct, you do give up sharpness with IS but normaly not as much as you give up with a zoom instead of prime. It's a trade off most of us make to some extent a lot of the time. I have a 70-200IS zoom with that has allowed me to get shots I would have missed, but they would have been sharper with a tripod and a prime. That being said this is a wonderful capture, nice color, I love the contrasting background. Link to comment
