cyanatic 0 Posted January 17, 2008 A couple of comments: First, I came to look at your portfolio because of a comment you made in the Philosophy of Photography forum. ("Emperor has no clothes thread" I believe.) Something to the effect of having come to terms with the fact that your photography is not art. I think you're selling yourself short...but who am I to say? Nuff said on that. I think this is striking, effective, and well thought out in terms of color and composition. The lone bare tree, the bit of hill and splash of color, set off against the more distant crags and mist...elegant and powerful. I did have a similiar feeling to the poster above that just a little closer cropping (from top and right...keeping the same ratio) might enhance the effect even more. Regardless, I think this is good work and I do not think it is the only good piece in your portfolio. Link to comment
