adan1 0 Posted November 5, 2007 Well captured shot. The two children having a conversation add a charming note to the composition. In this world of constant advertisement and materialism it is sometimes refreshing to view the world from a child's perspective. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted November 5, 2007 The red draws the viewer to the image, but the children really make it a special image! Link to comment
AJHingel 127 Posted November 5, 2007 Thanks Lou and Adan. Yes the children caught my eye, but also the esthetics of the Chinese characters on a red background and the surveying gentleman in the window to the right over the only Western writing: Happy Valley. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted November 5, 2007 Great shot, Anders, it has the same quality as your Peking duck stand, a really strong sense of order and harmony despite the apparent chaos of color and form. The kids are perfect. Link to comment
AJHingel 127 Posted November 5, 2007 The city is strange in the sense that despite the infinite number of "signals" that bombard you, order is present everywhere ! In my view, a little like Japanese cities like Tokyo. However Hong Kong stands out by the mere number of photographical scenes everywhere you happen to look. Thanks for your always very welcome comments Jack. Link to comment

ifti 1 Posted September 3, 2010 Very impressive composition with windows a lines and circles. It is sharp and color vibrant and attractive. Every passenger in his/her own thoughts except the kids sharing a story with each other. Consider getting rid of the black area at lower edge as it is a bit of distraction. Regards, ifti. AJHingel 127 Posted September 3, 2010 Thanks Iftikhar for your comments and appreciation of this shot. You might be right that the black area could be eliminated, but I left it because it somehow delimits the scene and brings attention to the two boys. Link to comment
