stefanoanghileri 0 Posted December 14, 2007 Thank you very much Trent. I'm flattered you like my photos. Yes, it is indeed a cross the one up there. It is what gives meaning (and title) to this photo. Unfortunately it loses really a bunch seen it so small, you should see the big print, it's a spectacle. Link to comment
BelaMolnar 2 Posted May 12, 2008 Who conquered who? It is a frighteningly beautiful image. The color, the back lighting and those incredible forms, magnificent. Where is this place? In Italy?! What hand, or who's hand formed this landscape? I could spend a day, and feel up 8 GB of memory cad with images in the same spot. Bravo Stefano. Cheers; Bela Link to comment
stefanoanghileri 0 Posted May 14, 2008 The title is referred to that small cross you can see on the top right. The whole composition points there. I have no idea on how one could get on that rock, but someone did it. Almost every peak in my area has a cross on the top, because mountains and religion are very related (both of them make you look up, for example). Yes, this place is in Italy. It is the most important mountain directly looking on my hometown: Lecco. You can reach this place after a tiring and steep hike in less than 2 hours. The atmospheric actions made the limestone rocks look like that. This is the classic photo which loses a bunch seen so small, also because I probably messed up with the sharpening in this reduction. Printed it big acquires such an energy....Thanks for your positive feedback. It was much appreciated! Link to comment
judyroush 0 Posted May 15, 2008 An incredible variation taken from a really dramatic angle. I love the light and misty conditions which make for a wonderful composition. Congratulations on this wonderful shot! Link to comment
