kyle_h 0 Posted November 4, 2007 Unusual scene. Although the sky looks very interesting, I would like to see more of the rocks Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted November 4, 2007 It's a beautiful landscape with an amazing sky ... but I have to wonder about the numbers? Is the graffiti condoned? I've worked with teens for almost twenty years, and I'm not being judgmental. I'm just curious.... Link to comment
seancrane 0 Posted November 4, 2007 I'm not sure what the deal is with the years painted on the rocks. I was just driving through and took a picture. Link to comment

tanya_easley 0 Posted April 12, 2009 FWIW, as a Lost River Valley native I was facinated to see this picture of "the hill" as it is called in Arco. High school seniors celebrate commencement by painting their class number on the hill the last week prior to graduation. My mother was a member of the class that painted the '64, and my father was a member of the class that painted the '65. This has been done by every graduating class since the early 30's and the town does NOT have a problem with unruly teens nor does the annual painting of the hill encourage grafitti to pop up in other areas as another commenter seemed concerned about. It is and always has been a town and school sanctioned activity. Locals enjoy telling tourists that each year is a record of the high water mark for that spring. Link to comment
