nadopix 0 Posted October 31, 2007 "Painted" with a maglight in Joshua Tree NP. RAW file contains no noticeable noise (unlike this jpg)--oh well. COmments, critiques welcome! Link to comment
PeterKrenek 26 Posted October 31, 2007 Well painted, Tim. The picure is not very noisy, which is a surprise with a 36 minute exposure. The sensors seem to be getting better... Best wishes. Peter Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted October 31, 2007 Tim, how's it goin'? This came out really well! Question - What was your ISO, and aperture setting for taking this exposure? I'm assuming that it was a small f-stop as it is really crisp. How long did you paint the rock with the light? Really cool effect! A 7/6 anonymously. Cheers! Chris Link to comment
baerbel 0 Posted October 31, 2007 Beautiful. Simple, yet bold. Wonderful colors. The image has an almost surreal feeling. Love it. :) Link to comment
nadopix 0 Posted October 31, 2007 ISO was 100, at f5.6I painted from the left, front and right side intermittantly for the full 36 minutes (a couple minutes here and there). Just had my sensor cleaned, so I don't know if that improved quality--certainly no dust! Link to comment
Timo Hartikainen 548 Posted November 1, 2007 One of the best "stars with long exposure" -photos I have seen. Link to comment
