ldavidson 4 Posted October 31, 2007 Maybe it's the time of year, but when I look at this driftwood I see twisted bodies and limbs reaching up to the sky pleading to be lifted out of hell. Link to comment
jcpopper 0 Posted October 31, 2007 A wonderful b&w conversion. Fine tones and composition. (And quite a description.) Regards, Joe Link to comment
bob_g 0 Posted November 2, 2007 Photo and tones are very nice; i like the way horizontal "V" from the branches opens up to the water taking your eye that way and to the clouds. Also the vertical element on the left holds your eye in the picture. That said, the tree projecting from the water to tip of branches could be distracting. Bob G. Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted November 2, 2007 Thanks for looking and commenting. I appreciate it. Bob, Thank you for taking the time to comment and the advice. I wasn't sure about that tree, but now I am. It is distracting. Warm regards. Link to comment

snapshooter 0 Posted November 3, 2007 Really liked this, Linda. The tall tree broke the symmetry for me , though. I took the tree out but it affected the balance. Probably just me. My neighbours think I'm unbalanced. Anyway, I tried this. Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted November 3, 2007 Thank you for taking the time to do this. Now it looks like the Feller Buncher From Hell harvesting the last two trees on earth ;) I think you are absolutly right about that tree ruining the symmetry and balance. I do appreciate you pointing things like this out. How else does one learn? I think it would look better if I just cloned it out of there all together, which I will do. I probably won't repost it though. Warm regards, Linda Link to comment
