rogerleekam 0 Posted October 30, 2007 Pnina, I like the depth to this as we look into the darkened interior from the bright sunlight. I wonder if the very bright ground bottom right corner would be better toned down just a little to bring out the shadow more, also don't know if you wanted the foot of the foreground chair to be cut off. An air of mystery (for want of a better word) draws us into this, and we gradually notice details of the furniture and the items on the shelves. Very cood composition which becomes more interesting as we look at it. Link to comment
richard hans 0 Posted October 30, 2007 Very original, perfect light & shadows, nice RED against dark bg. makes subject eye catching, good to see & stunning execution, Pnina! Best regards Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted October 30, 2007 Roger, Thanks, the cut of the chair's foot, is a small mistake of mine due to the fact that it was standing very near to a strong traffic corner, so conditions were bad, but still I wish it would have a bit more space.... The shadow looks good on my monitor, but I will see if toning it down will help the Shadow. Thanks for your observation. Kazimiera, Ruud and Richard, thanks for your comments, which I always appreciate . Link to comment
adan1 0 Posted October 30, 2007 Another marvelous composition Pnina. This picture speaks to me in terms of relationships. I see it as a contrast between introvert and extrovert. The big red chair outside stands by itself while the other pieces inside are more harmoniously connected because of their layouts. Or maybe the big chair is a boss with his subordinates behind. A great find regardless. Link to comment
davidorea 1 Posted October 31, 2007 Excellent vertical composition, dear Pnina. The colors, light and shadows are great. Very good shot! Best regards! Link to comment
Donna Stavis 0 Posted October 31, 2007 Hi Pnina. I love this photograph for the composition divided into threes: the exterior red showy chair outside to lure the customers into the interior, then the interior furniture area--crowded, dark, showroom where the customer is hooked (complete with a photo of someone's son--the personal touch to make the bond and seal the deal), and then the deep interior--no more natural sunlight --where the real "business" is done--transaction completed. I see the whole sale here. The lighting and shadows look good on my monitor. Link to comment
jcpopper 0 Posted October 31, 2007 pnina, A very fine and thought-provoking shot. Excellent composition and color, and I love the way you drew attention to the lonely, abandoned photo in the background. Best regards, Joe Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted October 31, 2007 Pnina, interesting composition,colour-contrast and play of light & shade. I like the red-refurbished chair. But I feel sad to see that someone's favourite chair is for sale on the pavement and even framed-memories are for sale in the Flea Market. Link to comment
AJHingel 127 Posted October 31, 2007 Very good scene. I love the light and clour of the chair in the front and the lountain of tables behind. It must be a portrait of the artist of it all that smiles towards us all. Well done Pnina. How is your exposition going ? Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted October 31, 2007 Adan, interesting commentary of entrovert/extrovert. ! Joe, Who is the photo in the BG? who knows..... Amal,That is the flea market life.... Anders, glad to see you. My exhibition will be opened this Saturday. The photos are already hanged, and it looks very good. I hope it will be nice . I will know when it will be closed the 2nd December... Thanks for asking. AJHingel 127 Posted October 31, 2007 Pnina, I will think of you the whole saturday and cross my fingers. You deserve success. Would it not be possible, when you have time, to make a full upload of the photos from the exposition as a Presentation on PN. I'm sure we are many that would love to see it although we don't have to opportunity to come and visit you. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted November 1, 2007 Thanks!!That will help ;-)) it will be a very unusual opening, as the gallery is small, a group of people were invited an hour earlier to an empty gallery..... and it will start with 15 minuts of a dance! done by 4 dancers and a musician. After the dance is over the dancers continue, and will hang again the photos, which the places are marked with numbers( it is 3 days that we are rehearsing for it...). an houre later will come all the other invited people... It is a very unusual concept, the dance and opening will be video photographed, and also stills. I think it is a good idea for a presentation Anders, I hope I will have the time to do it, as there are other things that will be in my agenda after this. Link to comment
Donna Stavis 0 Posted November 1, 2007 Such a unique presentation with the dancers, Pnina. Who are the special people invited early for this? Will there be a photography or dance review magazine present? It sounds extremely exciting. Link to comment
adan1 0 Posted November 1, 2007 This will be a great hit! It's our talented Pnina that we are talking about. The opening is so creative. Pnina, I agree with Anders. Please share some photos of this event with us. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted November 1, 2007 Thanks both of you, you are really good friends. I Hope I will be able to upload some photos,Or a video to your email address,. Donna, the people invited are from the dance world, municipality heads of departments, family, and people invited by the curator, which I don't know who they are. one thing for sure the dance opening is going to be a little crowded.... It was already published in a known here photographic site that gives information about exhibition and other subjects in the world of photography.( he published the invitation and all the catalogue pages, which he asked me to send to him.) The dance is very beautiful and has some humouristic components, and it will ve very beautiful. I will tell you later about it. Link to comment

blackdogstudio 1 Posted November 2, 2007 Interestingly, there is something human-like about this composition - like a family of chairs. The captured light is very good as is your exposure, while the red provides great contrast to the deep shadows. Very nice work, Pnina. Regards. Link to comment
