Very impressive capture. You couldn't have coaxed it to stand in a better location. The fact that its coat is lighter in color than the surroundings helps a lot as well. Great natural portrait.

Beautiful shot, nicely composed. I remember the big and healthy coyotes of Yellowstone from years ago. I wonder how they like the wolves being back in town? Anyway, nice work.

Excellent capture, perfect pose. You might try whitening up the blue color cast on the snow, seems like a lot of contrast to the color of the animal. Very nice image.

Wonderful shot! Terrific composition. Yellowstone is a very hard environment in the winter, but it is also beautiful. I like the overall tone - it captures the cold darkness of winter.

Jerry articulated a point that I had in mind but didn't express -- the great rendition of the cold and dark of winter. With that in mind, I don't mind the bluish tint on the background snow and on the foreground rock. It adds to the "coldness," and it doesn't detract attention from the coyote like a whiter snow might.
