Chinese Aida

This is a very interesting scene. The people are going about their business under the eyes of the Theater godess. I guess I never thought of Hong Kong looking so western. Interesting shot to me.

HK is arguably the most western city in China. Having been a British colony for so long has left an indelible mark in its psyche and part of what makes HK fascinating is the contrast of East and West. You captured this dichotomy expertly.

Thanks Mike and Adan. What I personally like about this scene is first of all the building up of the scene by layers starting with the yellow stripes at the bottom right. Secondly, the Adia reference between the two cultures - like in the opera. Thanks for your comments.
