This one is my favorite, because the frame has space to breath, the partition of the colored leaves on the frame are very nice the texture of the bark is seen and adds interest to the whole. The green on the sides, behind the bark are telling that the forest continue. I like as well the diagonal branch from upper L to bottom R. I think it will be very nice printed large.

Pnina, Many thanks for your visit & analysis. What I was thinking at the time was: "Nice bunch of leaves. Better record them before they all fall off & I have to wait 'till next year". The light was rather flat so I decided to hit them with flash, -2\3 compensation, to make them 'pop' a little. The rest was luck, or, as I prefer to think, subconsciously recognized. :-) In any case, I may well print this one as per your suggestion. Had a lot of fun this fall & got a few keepers. Best, LM.

I agree with the first set of comments. Also, the texture on the bark is great, as well as the darkness of it. Sunnidale is a great place to shoot!

Rob, Thanks for taking the time & effort. Sunnidale is a favourite haunt of mine, especially in the autumn. One of Barrie's jewels. Best, LM.

Henri, I tried as you suggested & it definitely warms it up a bit. Just goes to show it's worthwhile experimenting. Whether it improves the image or not is very subjective, entirely up to the viewer. Many thanks for your input. Best, LM.
