It's true that the one kernel is the focus of interest. I'm not sure that's a defect. It does provoke wonder: "What is going on there? What are those spherical thingies? Is it a fungus?" Assuming that most viewers don't know the answers (I certainly don't), they're going to find it a bit unsettling---is that a bad thing?

 

The color and textures are wonderful and there's a undeniable dental analogy (which may heighten anxiety about the 'abcess'.)

Hi Dave; Well, I don't know what those white spheres are either, but in going thru the pictures I took that day in the cornfield, I liked the image generally and thought those whatever-they-ares were interesting and added to the picture. Thanks for your feedback.
