A 'must shoot' for autumn colour. I remember the name of this colourful bush only because it sounds like 'Big Mac'. :-) Taken with a Canon A540 on 'A' mode. 1\30 @ f8, 23.2mm (140mm equiv) 'Vivid' saturation. Tripod, 2 sec timer. Best, LM.

Such intense colour that I couldn't resist a frame or two. Your

thoughts\critique will be gratefully received. Best, LM.

Nice image with intense colors. I am very familiar with this shrub and it is the dominant color in a park close by that only has a few maples. For my personal tastes the color is a tad too intense for me - not sure if it was the setting on the camera or a little bit of post processing or perhaps it is this intense. In any event, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that is my two cents. Hopefully it was constructive since that was my objective.

Tony, Your critique is most constructive, most instructive, and most welcomed! Thanks for your input. Most of the colour intensity (I didn't add saturation post exposure) came from the camera setting of 'Vivid', which I found out later, was equal to +2 on a scale from 0 to 2. Should have used 'N' (normal) or, at the very most, 'C' (custom) at +1. Live & learn. My own tastes run to Neutral (my favoured film is Portra 160NC). I was experimenting. But, a little overkill is sometimes refreshing. It does reach out & grab your attention doesn't it? :-) Best, LM.

Gunpreet, Colourful indeed! Boarders on the excessively oversatureated, but I kind of like it anyway. (came out of the camera this way, no saturation added) Best, LM.
