WHEN EVENING COMES

This is a beautiful scene with great colours and a good sky, it looks a bit soft though, I think I would really enjoy seeing more detail in the trees.

Same comment as Simon - it is a bit soft. Part of the reason I used to make my images small was because I was concerned with people stealing the images. I was using a tripod and I used to get feedback that my images were soft. Now I make them a little larger and imbed "copyright" as text but lower the opacity slider to about 6 % so that the notice is barely visible but does not detract from the visual pleasure.

Not many people share this info and i had to find it the hard way but I now reduce my image size using the percent field and bicubic sharper using 80%, 75%, 66% and 50% - repeating if necessary. there is a theory behind this and how Photoshop works. Then I may give a very small amount of sharpening at the end. You probably know all of this already.
