younes 0 Posted October 23, 2007 Great choice with the square format. Love the dramatic sky. The long exposure gives both a dreamy and painterly look to what must have been a pretty furious ocean. I am not sure if I like the silhouette or not...I think it gives this a sense of scale but the placement isn't ideal imho. All in all a splendid shot. Link to comment
arash khoshghadam 0 Posted October 23, 2007 This is an absolutely nice piece of work and admittedly a very captivating one. Aesthetically speaking, the image is well-balanced ( balance through contrast, recognition and placement ( on the golden point ). The choice of the upper right golden point, I believe has been a very wise one since it leaves the left side open for a space which you have utilized so nicely. The alternative rhythm created by the waves is really a dynamism that seems to be moving that portion of the photo, so the entry point is not wasted. The viewer's eyes move smoothly on the rhythm and are directed to the silhouette that provides the anchoring point in the image as the primary point of interest. The broken clouds do provide another source of rhythm in the vicinity of the primary interest point, but I do find the black underexposed patch there in the clouds sort of momentarily stealing attention away from the emphasis point. Since I believe the optical movement should be restricted to the lower portion of the frame where the eyes enter the frame; as a result, I have two suggestions to make: one is the enhancement of the rhythm on the waves through vivifying it with a little more contrast to facilitate the optical movement there instead of letting eyes get stuck there onto the whiteness and the other one is the lowering of contrast in the upper part and a little cropping to minimize the dark patch and the negative optical movement there both of which I have worked in my version. arash khoshghadam 0 Posted October 23, 2007 I have also tried to add to the dreamy atmosphere of the photo by applying a diffused glow layer and then bringing up some pixels from the underneath. Link to comment

krpradu 125 Posted October 24, 2007 I like so as it is,so well ballance and contrast between waves and sky is excellent no need to be darker, water and air two elements and all in movement.Human being is the element that ballance this composition. My best to you,Radu. Link to comment

vanja 0 Posted November 2, 2007 Hi! Well, first for the image, a very very nice interpretation of storms in Pula! I really like the dark sky and that omnious but connected feeling about it. But for another question, I am from Pula and I just can't place this image anywhere! I try to figure it out but this stone wall is confusing me - where exactly did you take this one? (if I am not being impolite) Greetings from Pula :-) Vanja Link to comment
