I agree. Black and white is absolutely wonderful, but this subject is worthy of a color background! :)

I've been playing with B & W and in my opinion, I only like B/W when there is too much going on and you want the eye to focus on something simple. I also like B & W when there are reflections off sky or water, or for portraits of people. For a simple close ups like this, so I would leave it in color.. the colors are fabulous. You did a great job here.

A nice profile portrait. I don't know if he's thinking or asleep. Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference - in animals and humans. I like the shot.

 

By the way, you should update your biography and let everyone know where you are now. It still says you live in DC. By the way, I'm going there the first week of November.
