le-plume 0 Posted October 21, 2007 I usually don't submit pic taken with my compact digital - but itproved quite adequate for this shot. Here is the story: I had spent a few hours doing research in thearchive of the Académie des Siences, in Paris, on a very rainyday. When I was done I chose to walk down the stairs instead of takingthe elevetor (the archive is basically in the building's attic) and Inotice a marble sculpture through an ajar door. That was the bust ofMarc Seguin, XIXth century inventor and industrialist. Beyond thewindow, the roofs of Paris were glistening from the rain. The place appeared absolutely empty. I snapped a few pictures andleft. Link to comment
rickaj1995 0 Posted October 21, 2007 I like it. The silhouetted bust in the foreground of the rainy afternoon conveys a sense longing to venture out but daring not to for the inclement weather. Link to comment
