davidclapp 0 Posted October 20, 2007 Medicine Lake in the Rockies, taken an hour after sundown in the mid summer. Many thanks for all the comments / ratings. Link to comment
deleteaccount 0 Posted October 20, 2007 The water is calm giving a clear reflection, forground adds intrest to the image. The mountains show halo on my monitor reflecting over sharpening maybe? And the clouds are unflattering and I wonder when I look at the image if more of the mountain on the left should be showing. However there is much to like with this image, well done and thanks for sharing. Link to comment

sketch_tbhotmail.com 11 Posted October 21, 2007 Very nice image, David. Overall I like it a lot but there are two things that I find detrimental. First it the submerged log in the middle of the reflection, it catches the eye and my be an unwanted focal point. Second is the mountain on the left. It looks like it could use a little bit of dodging. Thats just my opinion, I like this a lot either way. Ry Link to comment

davidclapp 0 Posted October 21, 2007 Cheers for the comments, I agree about the central stone in the mountain reflection but you ust cant tamper with reflections in this way by cloning etc so I just had to leave it as it is. Link to comment
whydangle 0 Posted October 22, 2007 David, I had to spend a moment commenting on your image. Not just that it is extraordinary, which it is, but also because I spent some time here about 24 years ago. This is an amazing place and I have always wanted to return, being that I never managed to get any good pics. What I remeber is that the Indians referred to this as Medicine Lake because it would empty in the fall when there was no water flowing in and re-fill in spring and summer when the snow was melting. It is a very photogenic subject and you have managed it brilliantly. Cheers to you!! Link to comment
