This is one of those images that evoke a feeling for me. Here, I see a lonely broken up road which has beautiful trees and flowers by it; sort of sad, but lovely. I'm thinking this could be early spring? Thanks for sharing it.

I like the theme, and colors. The arching trees with the road vanishing into the distance begs for an answer: What is around the corner? The picture pulls you into itself!

 

I was thinking this location might be great for wonderful people pictures as well.

Thanks, Steve. I think it's a matter of recognizing what you want to say in an image. I saw this as I passed by, realized it in my mind as a possible shot, stopped and WENT BACK to get it. Often, turning around and going BACK is the hardest part. A strait up shot with the 6 X 6 Yashicamat, metered for 18 % grey (used the road), found a suitable stick as a makeshift tripod, ...and click. I was attracted by the lead in bluebells of spring, as well as the overcast allowing detail in the depths, but Pilcher Park is worth a look, any time of the year.
