rivera r 0 Posted October 19, 2007 Linda composicion David, el contraste de luz le da un misterio poetico. La tristeza del bailarin japones en la danza, resalta muy bien. Una obra llena de drama que captaste con mucho acierto. Colores de lujo. Felicitaciones, amigo. Link to comment
adan1 0 Posted October 19, 2007 Dramatic pose with the umbrella down. There is an air of resignation on his part through this humble bow. The light shining on the subject is flattering and enhances him. Of particular interest are what appear to be the petals of flowers scattered throughout this composition. The ones touching the figure are red while the ground ones are blue. That detail is very enigmatic and it would be interesting to read others' interpretation of it. Here's mine - perhaps the petals are challenges or obstacles that life throws at us in life. The nature of their difficulty is symbolized by the cold blue. When one looks at them through the perspective that they are "lessons" in disguised allowing for growth, then they are humbly accepted - hence the feeling of resignation. In some way they are regarded as positive contributions and that is represented by the red. Perhaps the light can also symbolize divine guidance. Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted October 19, 2007 David, very deamatic mysterious scene because of the semi circle of light in the FG and dark BG. also the artist bow with the upside down umbrella. Interesting are the pink roses on the figure and blue, (the only cold hue) on the floor. Very good theater scene David. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted October 20, 2007 I find this picture to be so sad. So melancholic. It has the feel of a fading flower, of something or someone who knows they are fading and are resigned to passing away. I imagine the petals falling down, as the person sheds his or her skin and becomes only spirit and dissipates into the light. Photographically, this has the dramatic lighting that is often present in Pnina's stage photos. Very well done. Link to comment

morganscribe 0 Posted October 20, 2007 David: How hard would it be to throw a little reflected light into the face--just for emotional balance as well as pictorial? Otherwise, great! Dick Link to comment
