Wonderful light and positioning of waiter and drinks. Is the woman annoyed with the photographer? It adds a bit of tension to an otherwise warm and possibly romantic scene.

I've been studying this image awhile now, and I figure that because it was taken by such an unusually gifted photographer, there must be more to it than meets the eye.

I feel like it is a staged-still-life sort of image. The waiter and the man seem well placed in a dark, seamless background against the stark white table cloth and bright flower arrangement, which appears to be layered in? (I see the leaf and the stemless cherries, unusual choices, and they match the man's shirt). The woman stumps me though. She is the comic relief I bet. Please let me know if I was onto something or not. Whatever, I have had fun trying to figure it out.
