whinterberger 0 Posted October 19, 2007 Magical light against a suitably dramatic sky ... wonderful. To make it perfect , I may have wanted a little foreground , to give it depth . The light was too good to miss , though. Lovely. Link to comment

aginbyte 0 Posted October 26, 2007 ... are you living in this area now? I was just there in September, in perfect weather (shooting the Romanesque churches, of course - Souillac, Beaulieu, etc.) I think how wonderful it is there and your shots are the perfect reminder. Merci. Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted October 26, 2007 Thank you Denis. Alas I don't live there but always in Paris. I was in this area during the last holidays in july. Beautiful area where I have shot and shot as never before. I would have like to be there in september too. Regards, Henri. Link to comment
aginbyte 0 Posted October 26, 2007 ... but the French countryside? Incroyable. Just spent seven weeks shooting Romanesque churches, primarily in the Yonne, Saone-et-Loire, Puy-de-Dome, Haute-Loire, and Vienne. From the way you shoot your photos, I know you appreciate your home. To me, who lived there seven years and have returned almost every year for 25 years, it is still astonishing to me. I always look forward to seeing your shots and think wistfully forward to the time when I move back. We didn't get a chance to shoot the Pyrenees or Normandie this year, so that will be for next year's trip. At that point, we should have pretty well covered the major areas of French Romanesque.
