aepelbacher 0 Posted October 17, 2007 These are the same three giraffes from my previous post. Like I said in my comment on that image, they were three of five that seemed to be traveling together. This looks so posed to me. :-) In fact, I have seen statues from Africa that have three giraffes posed almost like this, in a circle. Thoughts? Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted October 17, 2007 Okay - so I know that this isn't the classic safari photo ... and probably works best when seen within a set of my giraffe shots. But my first five ratings are as follows: four 3/3's and one 7/7. LOL!! :-) I don't usually care about the ratings ... I just like getting comments once in a while from people who don't usually visit my portfolio and submitting photos for ratings gets you higher visibility. So either this photo stinks and there's one yahoo out there who's blind giving me a 7/7 .... or the 3/3 people are ganging up on the rampage this evening ... or I don't know what. Hahahaha!!! kslonaker 0 Posted October 18, 2007 I think you did very well with a rather busy background/foreground. The giraffes nicely stand out against the green tones. Each giraffe is posed differently. I wouldn't give this a 3/3! Link to comment
ryourth 0 Posted October 18, 2007 Great catch with each one scanning a different direction, probably for protection, have never heard of animals posing. The colours & definition are great. Well done, Lou Ann. Regards-Ross Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted October 18, 2007 Maybe there are 3 hyenas or asses out there who don't like giraffes. I'll help to raise the average. I think this is a great shot for its composition but the background is a bit busy for the spotted animals. Still it is a very nice image and deserving of better than 3s. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted November 2, 2007 Lou Ann, even the green is a bit busy, the brown Giraffes are well accentuated on that backdrop, and the composition is very nice. Link to comment
