Gyr Falcon

How did you get this close??

 

Excellent photo. i like the depth, and balanced composition. Your eye is lead to the bird along the branch, and the tree to the right pulls your eye out to see the rest of the magnificent landscape.

Thanks Dan! Its a young Gyr Falcon. When they fly out of the nest they dont have any experience with humans. You can actually find them juping around your feet for a week befor they learn from the older birds and start backing of when you get close.
