Simple but very well done. I like how you have framed the light. Very subtle beauty and would look nice in a frame. I rarely like photos that are square but it works perfectly here.

Hello Ellis, nicely composed abstract, nice to know I am not the only one that hangs around for the right picture to appear. This is the kind of image that we rarely see or take the time to look at when we are near water. It,s true, it really is the simple things in life that are beautiful. This is one of them. Cheers.

I made about ten exposures, each is unique. I now wish I'd taken a couple of hundred to make a little QuickTime video of the light as it changed over a couple of minutes of moving and rippling. The light itself was reflected into the pool from a single mirrored window of a skyscraper across the street. The pool itself was in shade. I first noticed the light as a bright patch on the water as I was talking with my in-laws. I excused myself from the conversation and went over to investigate and saw this beautiful thing happening. Just shows that it pays to always have a camera with you. It makes for a really lovely big (20" x 20" ) print.

Simply gorgeous! I've started dabbling in abstract shots, and your photograph helped me to confirm that there is such wonderful abstraction in the natural world.

You probably did not need much post processing of any kind. All you had to do, after setting your camera, was to take the shot. That's why you're a professional, and I'm not!

Thanks for sharing this.
