dseltzer 0 Posted October 17, 2007 This is pleasantly different and surprising, being from behind the performer it's a nice idea and it works. I like what you've done with the lighting that illuminates the hat and shoulders as well as the undersides of the tuning heads. Nice shot. Regards, David Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted October 17, 2007 Joseph, Very nice. Two great photos taken from behind the subject, one after the other. An interesting angle. You did a good job in both. You really captured a mood or feeling that speaks of the subjects in both images. Link to comment

owp 0 Posted October 18, 2007 Joe, there's nothing like live music under the open sky. This picture conveys that message well. Regards, Oliver Link to comment

glaucodattini 0 Posted October 19, 2007 Excellent, joe! I like this strong light that describes the outlines of the subject. Also I like the blue of the background that contrasts with the yellow of the guitars. Best regards! Glauco Link to comment

photis santamouris 23 Posted October 20, 2007 Great backlit scene against this dark background and wonderful blue sky.I would take some time to clone out the power cables though. Link to comment
jcpopper 0 Posted October 20, 2007 Thanks for your comments. PhoS: Call me crazy -- I probably am -- but I chose to leave that cable in. I kind of like the strange, darkening effect it has as it cuts across the blue. But I may post a version without it. Thanks for the suggestion. Link to comment
photis santamouris 23 Posted October 20, 2007 It's all a matter of personal preference and what do s.o. expects to concentrate in an image.I tend to remove such cables/poles of my scapes because I find that they do not help the viewer to focus only in what I was perceiving at the moment of capture. But because it's not a scape here,so you may have perceived the image as it is,and this is exactly what you want to show us. So I don't accuse anyone of being lazy ! Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted October 20, 2007 This is such a cool presentation. I like the warm colors of the main character against the cool backdrop. Personally, I like the wires. It makes me think of electric blues. As always, inventive and personal. Link to comment
jcpopper 0 Posted October 20, 2007 PhoS -- Thanks for getting back to me. I never thought you were saying I was lazy. Jeff -- Glad yo like the cable. As I responded to PhoS, I chose to leave it in. And I did so for the very reason you mentioned. Regards to you both. Joe Link to comment
dianadeaver 0 Posted October 21, 2007 Joe, your picture is a show in itself. The three guitars have so much symbolism and I could not help noticing that. I love the fact that your shot is anonymous and the man's silhouette is contoured by light! The title is great as always. I think you did a great job here! Link to comment
vicenteconcha 8 Posted October 21, 2007 Sensational picture, where light creates an sensational musician`s outline. The guitars and hats, essential in the musical environment. Congratulations. Best wishes. Vicente. Link to comment
