Elephant on the Maasai Mara

This shot is from the game safari. I found that my 300mm was perfectly long enough to capture what I wanted to ... although it is probably more like almost 500mm with the digital 1.6 factor. Anyway - I am also working on my post-processing techniques in PScs3. Any thoughts on the whole effect are most appreciated!

.... it's pretty close for me. After all it's not a zoo-elephant. I like it very much ... the colors and the cropping. Might have been some stay you had there Lou Ann.

I like your idea of commenting on those "older" side photos. We tend to miss many of them.... This photo has so much detail, it's great. I am recalling some of your adventures when filming over there. What a joy it must be to see these great animals in their own habitat rather than a zoo.
