Guest Guest Posted October 13, 2007 I'll sort of use this shot to comment on the Rollei nudes as a whole, Robert, if you don't mind. With the Rollei, your nudes seem to have acquired a greater depth and meaning. It also may have something to do with the setting...this looks like a great place to shoot...looks like some sort of artist's studio or workplace. I'd be interested in your lighting here. This shot interests me particularly. I like how her arms sort of mirror the cruciform in the right background...was that intentional on your part? There is lots of nice detail in this shot, and I like it that the d.o.f. and the tones don't allow those details to dominate or take attention away from the subject in the foreground. Her form and direct look into the lens grabs my attention from the first, and then I allow my eyes to travel through the shot. This is a good composition with all the squares (mostly) in the background and the curves/circle in the front. A good separation of forms within the shot. This is very very nice. Link to comment
terrygilroy 0 Posted October 13, 2007 An original shot with impact, I like the natural lighting and, as mentioned above, the repetition of the cross. Great shot Link to comment
yves_p 0 Posted October 13, 2007 Original shot. Nature and geometry. I like the idea of putting the nude figure in a circle and to associate circular forms, straight lines and angles. I think that some of these aspects can be emphasized by making the picture vertical by a small crop (there are more lines on the right and upper parts of the picture). What do you think? Cheers.
