bertr 0 Posted October 13, 2007 ...for your wonderful comments: This image was taken at a small pond, near Mizzy Lake in Algonquin Park, Ontario. I was fascinated by the pine needles crowding around the lilly pads, the latter looking various shades of green right down to turquois. Link to comment
bertr 0 Posted October 13, 2007 I am glad that the 3/3 rater did not forget to rate this image. I would not like to be left out of what is a most illustrious group of photographers...Bert Link to comment

kirk d 0 Posted October 13, 2007 Wow Bert! This is really a cool abstract. I thought it was leaves just beneath a crystalized sheet of ice. This looks like it could be a Monet or Van Gogh painting. Don't want you to get to high of an average rating so I'll have to give it a 3/3. Kirk Link to comment
bertr 0 Posted October 13, 2007 ..for the 3/3 rating. A lot better than a 1/1...and, since some of the very best photographers have received 3/3 ratings, I am proud to be in such illustrous company....Bert Link to comment

antoniobassiphotography 0 Posted October 16, 2007 Bert, I understand... I believe there is someone that gives 3/3 on purpose to keep great images average down. I even wrote an email to the staff on this matter. Photography can be interpreted in different ways and a specific image can be great for someone and not interesting at all for someone else but rating 3/3 is clearly a premeditated action in order to damage the photographer. At the end the damage is minimal anyway. Great image you have here, beautiful colors and nice composition with great detail. Awesome work! Link to comment
thadley 14 Posted November 26, 2007 Super image! I see that Kirk played a trick on you - telling you that he was giving a 3/3 when it fact in turned out to a 7/7. Congrats on a fine image. Link to comment
